Case Analysis of Shenzhen North Station Comprehensive Transportation Hub

Shenzhen North Railway Station is the most central station in the two main and three auxiliary passenger transportation modes of Shenzhen Railway. The station connects to the Beijing-Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Passenger Dedicated Line, the Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway, and the Metro Lines 4, 5 and 6 and the long-distance bus station and bus station. The taxi station and the social vehicle parking lot are connected to form a large-scale comprehensive transportation hub with port functions. It is an important regional railway passenger transportation hub in the country.

Shenzhen North Railway Station has designed 20 roads and 11 passenger stations. The station houses are divided into main station and no platform pillar canopy. The total construction area is 182,000 square meters. The main station house is 413 meters long from east to west, 208 meters wide from north to south, with a total height of 43.6 meters. The maximum span of steel structure is 86 meters, and the largest cantilever is 63 meters (the largest cantilever in the field of domestic and foreign housing construction). The total steel consumption is about 65,000 tons. The main body of the station building is designed for large-span profiled steel structure, adopting the first structural system at home and abroad. The roof is a two-way double-layer irregular section truss steel structure, and the lower part is a composite beam frame structure of steel pipe truss and steel slab.

The station is divided into four levels: the ground station platform, the elevated mezzanine, the elevated waiting layer, and the commercial reserved layer. The construction of Shenzhen North Station is beautiful and novel. A large number of new materials and new processes are the first in China and have become the landmark buildings in Shenzhen. Through the landscape elements such as the greening of the East and West Squares, the forests and the cities are organically linked to create a humanized and comfortable hub plaza space, and the forest greening extends to the city to strengthen the east-west axis of Shenzhen.
