Fully enter 4K era Hisense releases L6/S6 series of laser television products

Hisense has long been a pioneer in the development of large-screen televisions. The company has introduced several groundbreaking products, including the world's first 100-inch ultra-short-throw laser TV, the first 100-inch 4K ultra-short-throw laser TV, and the first dual-color ultra-short-throw laser TV. Today, Hisense continues to lead the market by launching the L6 series 4K laser TVs in sizes of 80 inches, 88 inches, and 100 inches in Beijing, as well as the S6 series 4K laser home theater systems available in 120-inch and 150-inch models. These new releases complete Hisense’s product lineup for large-size laser TVs, marking a significant step forward into the 4K era of laser television.

The new L6 series 4K laser TV comes in sizes ranging from 88 to 100 inches. It features a brightness level of 350 nits, matching the standard used in LCD TVs, ensuring excellent resistance to ambient light and vibrant color performance. With a color gamut coverage of up to 116% (based on BT.709), it supports HDR and 120Hz MEMC motion compensation technology. In terms of audio, the L6 series is the first to integrate the laser projector with a built-in sound system, featuring a custom-tuned acoustic design by Hamann Caton. The external wireless subwoofer is 60% smaller than previous generations and can produce deep bass down to 40Hz. The smart functions are powered by Hisense’s own smart TV platform, offering a wide range of content including movies, entertainment, and educational programs, while also meeting business and office needs. The S6 series is designed for home cinema experiences, offering flexible screen sizes between 120 and 150 inches. It is ideal for those looking to create a dedicated home theater setup. Currently, the L6 series is available in both China and the United States, while the S6 series is expected to launch later this year.
According to Gao Yuling, General Manager of Hisense Laser Display Co., Ltd., the company sold approximately 20,000 laser TVs over three years, and consumer awareness of laser TV is steadily increasing. Looking ahead, the demand for large-screen TVs (70 inches or larger) is expected to exceed 4 million units in the next three years. Despite challenges such as high costs, large size, and high power consumption, Hisense has made significant investments in technological upgrades. As a hybrid product combining projection and television technologies, laser TV represents the closest alternative to flat-panel displays. It breaks traditional screen limitations and has the potential to make display technology more widespread, turning TVs into "TV walls." This offers users an immersive visual experience that is truly unforgettable.
