According to statistics, current lighting power accounts for about 12%-20% of total electricity consumption. According to conservative estimates, China's total power generation will reach 300 billion kWh in 2010, and lighting power consumption will be about 360 billion kWh. Moreover, the LED light source itself does not contain harmful substances such as mercury and lead, and has no infrared and ultraviolet pollution, and will not cause pollution to the outside in production and use, so the environmental protection effect of the LED is also very obvious. The LED light source uses a low-voltage power supply, which is easy to use with solar cells and is more environmentally friendly. At the same time, as a low-voltage lamp, safety is also a prominent advantage of LED.

With the continuous development and advancement of LED product technology, LED applications have expanded from earlier display, mobile phone and LCD background light sources to more profitable applications such as general lighting, theater lighting, and automotive heads. Lights, brake lights and traffic lights, and even on the most popular HD LCD TVs, LEDs are expected to replace the CCFL backlights that have been used. With the development of the urban construction of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the demand for LEDs in urban landscape lighting will further increase.

Especially the application of LED interior decoration is particularly prominent.
