The supply of materials is closely related to the degree of industrial concentration. For a material supplier, setting up a factory requires investing huge amounts of money and worrying about technology outflows. Therefore, in areas where the market is not large enough or the industrial technology is not mature, material suppliers often set up sales points to serve customers first, and then consider setting up factories locally when they can reach economic scale. However, from the perspective of the semiconductor industry, if there is no good material supplier in the local area, it will not be able to produce a cost-effective product to expand the city. Chang Zheren said that China is a vast country, if the raw material manufacturing base is far away from the semiconductor chip production base, Will greatly increase the transportation costs of raw materials. It is precisely because of the recognition that East China is the main gathering place of the semiconductor industry in mainland China, Yongguang Chemical will set up its production base in Suzhou to serve customers nearby. Of course, Yongguang Chemical will not give up its expansion of business in the central and western regions. According to Sun Zheren, the first phase of Yongguang (Suzhou) Optoelectronic Materials Co., Ltd., located in Suzhou Industrial Park, has begun to provide customers with four major categories of digital printer inks, developer solutions, single crystal silicon polishing fluids and CD-R dyes. The second phase of the Suzhou plant is currently under construction. He said that the Yongguang Suzhou production base is expected to achieve breakeven by the end of this year.

Negative photoresist service LED special process

At present, G-line photoresist is dominant in Yongguang's photoresist products, and I-line photoresist has also been put into production. According to Sun Zheren, in the next two or three years, I-line photoresist will gradually become the mainstream. In the higher-end products, Yongguang's DUV (deep-UV) photoresist has also passed the verification of 8-inch and 12-inch wafer production lines. In addition, epoxy resin encapsulant is another important product of Yongguang Chemical, which is used in the semiconductor chip packaging industry.

Yongguang Chemical's photoresist products are also used in the manufacturing process of LED (Light Emitting Diode) chips. Generally, the process of fabricating a metal electrode in a semiconductor process is to first evaporate or sputter a layer of metal on the surface of the substrate, and then remove unnecessary portions of the layer metal by photolithography and etching processes to obtain a desired pattern. . Sun Zheren told the China Electronics News that the metal materials used in the electrodes of the LEDs are not easily etched to obtain their patterns. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the Lift-Off process to coat a layer of light on the substrate. The glue is then lithographically patterned, the metal is evaporated after the desired pattern is formed, and the remaining photoresist and the metal coated on the photoresist are removed to obtain a pattern of the metal electrode. In this process, negative photoresist is needed, and Everlight's ENPI200 series photoresist products are a good choice.

According to Sun Zheren, Yongguang Chemical is actively developing the matching Lift-Off photoresist to meet the different production processes of LED customers. For example, for high-reflection substrate materials that are not conducive to patterning, Everlight has developed a dye-off photoresist containing dye to eliminate excessive cross-linking due to high reflection; in addition, when the LED process must be miniature In order to increase its luminous brightness, Yongguang Chemical also cooperated with customers to develop high-resolution Lift-Off photoresist EPI622, which can reduce the line width to less than 1 micron in a special process, which can be used for high-brightness LED thin line width process. Sun Zheren said: Yongguang Chemical will provide LED customers with the most suitable photoresist products based on years of experience in photoresist development and production.
