High-quality speaker system for transmission line speakers

How to send a satisfactory low frequency with a small unit, I think the transmission design is the most ideal way. However, due to the complicated structure of the speaker, few people try to make it. The author here introduces a design with 8-inch bass monomer as the main body for DIY people to try, the effect is guaranteed to be surprising. The size chart is as follows (Figure 1 is the low speaker, and Figure 2 is the middle and high speaker):

The wood used is HDF (high pressure dense board), the general speaker box is MDF (medium pressure dense board), the front baffle is 2 pieces of 6 points of HDF bonding, and the rest uses 6 points of HDF. This design is to separate the middle and high speakers from the low speakers because of the high flexibility. Reason 1. The middle and high speakers are small in size and low in cost. If you like, you can make a few more different types of monomers to enjoy different sounds. Reason 2. To get a good sound, the positioning of the speakers is very important. The distance between the woofer and the rear wall and side wall will directly change the low frequency response. The middle and high frequency speakers will affect the depth and positioning of the sound field, so you can use the horn stand to place the middle and high speakers separately to find the most appropriate position for the low frequency and high frequency. (How to position the speakers correctly, the author intends to make a detailed introduction in the next article to ensure that it is more effective than changing equipment, please look forward to it.)

The speaker unit used is a VIFA product. Of course, you can choose a similar product instead, such as

DYNAAUDIO, SEAS, SCAN-SPEAK, PEERLESS, etc. The monomers used are as follows:

The bass unit adopts 8 "long stroke unit, VIFA number is M22WR0906.
The midrange monomer uses a 5 "paper cone monomer, VIFA number is C13MG0908.
The tweeter adopts 1 "aluminum membrane monomer, VIFA number is D25AG3506.
The data of the above monomers are shown in figures 3, 4 and 5. The author intends to use the electronic crossover method, so first put the crossover network outside so that it can be removed at any time. It is not easy to obtain the inductance and capacitance in the crossover network. Readers are advised to go to Xining Electronic Plaza to find a good quality three-way crossover, and buy some sound-absorbing cotton and speaker terminals. When making a speaker, remember to apply white glue first and then nails to ensure that all the joints of the speaker are completely sealed. Don't nail the backboard first, because you need to fill in the sound-absorbing cotton, and finally add white glue and nail the backboard. The mid-range speaker also needs to be filled with sound-absorbing cotton. If you use a convex midrange monomer, this step can be omitted.
