Skyworth LCD TV 32L88IW/8TT3 experiences a brief black screen during startup, but the sound works normally. The issue occurs on the second boot, with the screen staying black for a few seconds before returning to normal. During troubleshooting, the technician disassembled the unit and checked the backlight. It was found that the backlight wasn't bright, although the high-voltage driver board showed 24V, and the PWM signal on the backlight board measured 4V, which was within normal range. This led to the suspicion of a faulty drive board. After careful inspection, the high-voltage generator HC15 was identified as the problem. Upon removing the component, it was discovered that there was a mold at the end of the solder joint. Using scissors, the skeleton was carefully expanded, revealing the winding enamel wire. A piece of copper wire of the same diameter was used, flux was applied, and the connection was made using a pointed soldering iron. The other end was securely soldered onto the terminal post with several turns, and the overlapping section was sealed with glue. After reassembly and testing, the TV was fully repaired and functioned properly.
