Panasonic introduced two new OLED TV series this year: the FZ950 and FZ800. These models come in 65-inch and 55-inch variants, featuring an upgraded HCX graphics processor and a new operating system. This system helps stabilize colors and improve image quality by analyzing screen brightness and making real-time adjustments. The result is a more natural display with enhanced shadow details.
Additionally, these TVs support HDR10+ technology, developed in collaboration with companies like 20th Century Fox and Samsung. This technology dynamically adjusts brightness and contrast for a more immersive viewing experience. The TVs also feature improved gaming performance, reducing input lag for smoother gameplay.
In terms of media players, Panasonic announced four new Blu-ray disc models: the DP-UB820, DP-UB420, DP-UB330, and DP-UB320. The top-tier DP-UB820 and DP-UB420 include advanced HDR10+ features, while the DP-UB820 also supports Dolby Vision. One of the key improvements is the ability to adjust HDR settings manually using the remote control, allowing users to fine-tune brightness levels. If the TV doesn’t support HDR, the player can automatically convert it to SDR.
Moreover, the DP-UB820 and DP-UB420 will soon support voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, offering hands-free control for a more convenient user experience.
