Super high-speed rail internal upgrade: Former CTO want to "start the rest"?

Hyperloop One, the U.S. super-high-speed rail company, this week launched a counterattack against retiring co-founder and CTO Brogan Bam Brogan. The counterclaim stated that Brogan, one of the two founders of the company, and three other plaintiffs tried to set up a new company to compete with the Hyperloop One during the service period. This violates the lure prohibition, derogation prohibition and confidentiality agreement. However, Brogan and three other plaintiffs' law agents, Justin Berger, responded that the counterclaim was totally fictitious.

Brogan filed a lawsuit on July 12 stating that the defendants, including company co-founders Shervin Pishevar and former general counsel Afshin Pishevar, board member Joe Lonsdale, and CEO Rob Lloyd, improperly managed the company and violated it. He has fiduciary duties and he himself has been mistreated.

The counterclaim stated that Brogan and the other three plaintiffs tried to convince the other seven key employees to sign an e-mail and called for the company to reform its operating methods. When their "coup d'état" failed, the four people tried to set up their own company, including the purchase of hyperlooptoo.com domain name.

Brogan said that registering this domain name is only a joke and it is not intended to be used for commercial purposes. He stated that during his service with Hyperloop One, he and his colleagues did not try to set up a new company, but "at present they are considering various options for the future."

Hyperloop One seeks 200 million U.S. dollars in punitive damages, 50 million U.S. dollars in damages, and demands the return of "unjust gains." So far, the company's financing amounted to 130 million US dollars.

Sources stated that at the same time, Hyperloop One has taken some measures to limit the power of Shervin Pishevar and Lonsdale in response to the questions raised in the e-mails, and has negotiated with them on the issue of voting rights, and they will each grasp the future 20 % of voting rights, not a total of 78% of voting rights.

The two lawsuits show that Hyperloop One is not stable internally. Currently, the company is competing with Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT), another super-high-speed rail company, in an attempt to first implement the concept of a super-high-speed rail proposed by Elon Musk in 2013, which uses low-pressure pipelines to achieve a speed of 760 miles per hour (about 1223 kilometers).
