According to Leica, future AI systems may be capable of self-awareness, sensing their environment, processing vast amounts of data in real time, and performing complex tasks—ranging from space exploration and combat to household chores like cooking and cleaning. In theory, such machines could even replace humans in many areas, freeing people from mundane labor. However, he also highlighted the risks: these machines could challenge social structures and raise difficult moral dilemmas. Some fear that they might resist human control or even seek to eliminate humanity altogether.

There’s still much debate within the scientific community about whether machines can truly be considered conscious and what that would mean. Meanwhile, the development of autonomous weapons—often referred to as "robot killers"—has raised global concerns. A 2016 report by Human Rights Watch argued that such weapons should be banned, as they lack accountability for war crimes.
