Audi A8 mid-term change will be equipped with matrix LED headlights

Audi will release a mid-term change to the current A8 at the end of this year. The biggest highlight of the new car is the advanced Matrix LED (matrix LED) headlights.

The matrix LED headlights consist of 25 LED high beam lights, and each five LEDs are arranged into a group through a lens and a mirror. Audi designers are almost free to configure these LED lights to outline the lines and shapes they need.

Matrix LED headlights can also be adjusted with a variety of light sensors and navigation systems that use high beam lights to illuminate the road ahead when driving on all-black roads. At the same time, it can automatically monitor the surrounding lighting conditions. When it is sensed that there is a vehicle in front, it can immediately turn off the LED light group that affects other drivers' sights to prevent glare.

With the help of the navigation system, the matrix lighting system will automatically point to the navigation direction before the driver turns the steering wheel, which not only illuminates the road ahead, but also has a guiding effect and does not require the servo motor to control the beam direction. Matrix LED headlights can also be paired with Audi's night vision system.
