The reporter learned from the State Council's Office of Administration Affairs that as of October 31, the central state organs had completed the replacement and renovation of all non-energy-saving lamps in the office area, achieving 100% utilization rate of energy-saving lamps.
From August to the end of October 2007, the State Council Administration Bureau organized the energy-saving renovation project for lighting fixtures in the office areas of the central state organs. Involved in nearly 100 units of various units and departments of the central state organs, a total of 64,194,000 incandescent lamps, 38,791 T12 lamps, and 218,722 T8 lamps (using magnetic ballasts) were replaced. According to conservative estimates, after the energy-saving renovation, the annual electricity saving will be about 12.463 million kWh, equivalent to the electricity fee of 8.724 million yuan, and the investment for transformation can be recovered in about one and a half years.
All units generally reflected that this transformation not only saved energy, but also improved the brightness of the lighting and improved the office environment.
