Interpretation of LED spotlight CLEAR detection 83.3% of the product indicates that the target is not up to standard

In the commercial lighting field where the light color requirement is relatively high, in addition to the special requirements for light efficiency, the requirements for the display are becoming more and more stringent.

The color rendering index coefficient (Kaufman) is currently a common method for defining the color rendering of light sources. The color rendering index of an incandescent lamp is defined as 100 and is considered to be the ideal reference source. In different places, the requirements for color rendering index are different. Some light sources that require precise color contrast need to have a color rendering index of Ra90-100, while ordinary household lighting requires a relatively low color rendering index, probably in Ra60. -79.

"It is related to the reduction of color. The requirements of the US Energy Star for LED lamps are basically Ra80. The higher the index, the more realistic the color of the things being photographed, and the color of the things that are photographed will be biased. The LED spotlights detected in this round are all from the e-commerce channel, a total of 30 models, from 30 different manufacturers. Among the products tested, only 5 samples met the requirements of Energy Star (Ra80), and the samples were from the five brands including Sanxiong, NVC, Sunshine, Xiguang and Maihui, and the compliance rate was only 16.7%.





"The current mainstream 3w, 4w LED spotlights on the market can reach above Ra85." A downstream application manufacturer who asked not to be named said that due to the lack of rigid standards in the industry, companies will produce according to different market needs. It is not surprising that products appear to be below the Ra80.

The indicator and the light effect are a pair of contradictions. The higher the index, the lower the light effect. Of course, it is not difficult to make high-brightness lamp beads with the current process, but such lamp beads are relatively expensive in price.

Some insiders believe that some manufacturers may prefer to purchase light sources with high luminous efficiency and low pointing, which will save costs. This may also be seen from the results of this round of testing. Among the products tested, 27 samples met the minimum light efficiency requirement, and the coincidence rate was 90%, which was much higher than the coincidence rate of this parameter.
